St. Patricks Day Gift Baskets
Send somebody you love a spirited St. Patrick’s Day Basket – complete with green four leaf clovers, so they won’t be pinched!! Or just send something that is largely green – to revel in the fun with St. Patrick’s Day. Some Irish wine or beer, good bar snacks, green roses they can pin on their lapel or hat. Americans celebrate the holiday by wearing green clothing. Many people, regardless of ethnic background, wear green-colored clothing and items. Traditionally, those who are caught not wearing green are pinched. Some cities paint the traffic stripe of their parade routes green. Chicago dyes its river green and has done so since 1961 when sewer workers used green dye to check for sewer discharges and got the idea to turn the river green for St. Patrick’s Day.
